The V4 and the future of the EU

2018-05-08

This project focuses on the views of the Visegrád Group (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary) on questions related to the contemporary state of European integration and EU policies. The V4 have profited massively from EU membership since their accession in 2004, and the EU and community policies were widely supported by the population of the group’s member states. However, in the wake of the European recession openly Eurosceptic and anti-EU tendencies gained considerable strength. Thus, the EU’s popularity has gradually been falling in the region.

The aim of the International Visegrád Fund-supported project is to facilitate political developments in the V4 with the help of factual information. In the frames of the project entitled The V4 and the future of the EU EurActiv Slovakia, EurActiv Czech Republic, EurActiv Poland and Political Capital produce analyses on the most important issues affecting the Visegrád Group. The Euractiv Slovakia-led consortium’s project runs between February 1, 2018 and July 31, 2018.
