Authoritarian shadows

2020-08-14

Political Capital has done pioneering research in cooperation with National Endowment for Democracy on malign foreign influence and interference in the EP, with particular attention on Central Europe. PC and its research partners have been tracking the votes cast by MEPs, and their statements in parliamentary debates to map authoritarian influence in European institutions. Political Capital prepared a rating of MEPs based on their votes and formulated policy recommendations that could help European policy-makers, NGO-s, media, experts and academic institutions to raise awareness and counter malign forms of influence.

On the event, experts of Political Capital Institute introduce their study and then discuss patterns of authoritarian influence with MEPs in the European Union.
