Taiwan had been under constant miliary pressure from mainland China for decades, but recent development in the Taiwan straits has increased these pressures. How can Taiwan maintain a healthy democracy against all odds? How can democracies best handle these pressures and increase resilience? What role does youth participation and civil activism play in the sustainability of democracy?

In this public event we plan to discuss the experiences and best practices of Taiwan in building and sustaining a resilient democracy, while being a target of constant grey-zone operations.
